HitTheRoad.rentals is the TripAdvisor of the campervan and motorhome space. It’s founder, Tim partnered with Code4 to evolve a relatively static yet successful WordPress site that he’d built up by writing in-depth and independent reviews of campervan providers into a more structured, responsive website with user generated reviews and a rating system. The site currently features every campervan provider in Australia and New Zealand with plans to go global and also add car rentals too. For the love of books – Code4 chipped in to help build out a quick new website to help promote Street Libraries in Australia. Since then it has evolved into a fully fledged not-for-profit that runs library building community workshops and engaging local men’s sheds to design & build. Featuring a Library Finder where Librarians can have their library listed on the map for would be borrowers can easily find their nearest library. Working with Peter’s creative staff and record label Eleven, we evolved the site to align more closely with Peter’s re-spawning from politician to musician. It was a fast turn-around which resulted in a simple and elegant site with integrations to ticketing and pre-sale retail outlets.
The Tea Centre reached out to Code4 after having worked with Dan successfully in the past. Restricted by their most recent site the brief was to deliver a mobile friendly e-commerce site with bells, whistles and all the integrations in the fastest time possible. We rose to the challenge and in less than 12 weeks a new site was born. We’re now working closely with The Tea Centre team on a series of campaigns to raise awareness and increase sales of their delicious and wonderful products.

We work strategically with Bikebiz to ensure they remain leaders in the motorcycle accessories e-commerce space. Since engaging Code4 in 2012, increased conversion rates and average order values have revenue sky-rocketing and we’re set to continue this with a series of exciting new features planned in the near future. A recent visual re-working gave the site an aesthetic boost while features such as the advanced bike search and brand landing pages provide users new more effective ways of finding what they’re after. A mobile template makes for a fast an easy checkout on touch devices. To remain discoverable we work regularly on SEO to rank in the top three or four on many keywords and phrases. In addition an active PPC campaign ensures a strong presence across search and display networks.
When social and environmental not-for-profit organisation Do Something decided to setup what was destined to be Australia’s largest volunteer services directory, Dan quickly stepped up to the challenge. Because this site needed lots of room to grow, Code4 was excited to use App Engine, the latest cloud-hosting technology from Google, which provides an efficient and highly-scalable platform. Upon its launch it saw 10,000 visits in the first week alone and is still evolving with new features and content is added regularly as more and more community organisations get involved in this great project.
What can you do?
Code4 developed this innovative calendaring system which enables community groups to contribute to the site via a deceptively simple event registration form. The site now operates on a semi-autonomous basis and has grown to become the first point of reference for media and event organisers Australia wide. Planning a national event yourself? Kamuka approached Code4 with an idea to sell photographic quality printed yoga mats. Never shy to jump on board a unique idea we proposed a digital strategy and rollout for everything from website and shopping cart to social media to pay-per-click campaigns. We continue to work closely with Kamuka to grow their business further and look forward to working with them on campaigns and idea development in the future.
